As someone who has had their life impacted so greatly by rescue dogs and cats, I believe in the value of giving back. I have donated my time to several local and regional rescues to help make professional images of their animals in need in the search for their forever homes.
I remember the day Mattie came into our lives as though it were yesterday, and the 17 years we had together flew by in a minute. She was both the literal and figurative inspiration for Bundle of Paws and she was why I do what I do.
In 2023, after fostering a terribly abused pup named ‘Fudge,’ we realized that we just couldn’t let her go and ‘foster failed’ into our latest girl. Despite her previous terrible treatment by humans, this sweetie pie was always kind and demonstrating her kind heart, so we named her Kokoro Yasashii – Japanese for ‘good heart or kind heart.’ Thus ‘Koko’ is our newest canine member of the family.
In between Mattie and Koko, we added Calypso the calico cat, found wandering on the streets of PA to our home, and Caly and Koko currently rule the roost here! I think of the wonderful memories that created as a family and want to help other dogs give that gift to their forever people. We adopted all three of these wonderful animals from Animal Alliance NJ, maybe they’d have someone right for you?
I am also proud to be a member of HeARTs Speak, a great organization of artists from around the world who donate their skill and time to help rescue and shelter animals find their forever homes. It feels great to be part of an organization that is giving back, and working to support rescue animals who really need a helping hand to find their forever homes.
Do you represent a shelter or not-for-profit rescue that is “bending over backward” to help dogs in need?
